What is the Post-Capitalism Party?

Both major political parties in American have failed the common person. The incoming party is out of control and out of touch, having turned from the party of small government and personal freedom to an oppressive far-reaching regime intent on conquering foreign lands. The opposing party is ineffective at stopping this or championing the common person in general.


Proposed:

A political party focused on consumer protection (including insurance), worker protection, and civil rights; while preserving our Bill of Rights, and our Constitution.

While property rights and open markets are important, wealth inequity nationally has reached unsustainable levels. A handful of billionaires exist to play 3D chess with the lives of the 90% of the population that keep society running. Our country's national debt is out of control, while 1 in 3 bridges in the US are in need of repair or replacement. Meanwhile the stock market races to new highs and the common man fights with each other. California and New York are examples of states that are both socially progressive and capitalistic.


Where did the billionaires get their money?

Let's talk about consumer protection. Corporations buy private real estate (homes) and rent or sell them back to the market, at a profit. Where is the line between entrepreneurial "flipping" and market interference? "Gig apps" are allowed to exorbitantly charge customers while routinely denying legitimate refunds; and distribute peanuts to the labor force in aggregate. A few dozen people get stupid-rich while 10 million people are fleeced in purchase or employment. The middle wades through laughable employment adverts (trying to avoid personal insolvency) while the C-suite enjoys $400 "working" lunches.

Let's talk about civil rights. Any group promoting an uplift in the base of society is inherently concerned with civil rights. A society is a group of people coexisting with a common social contract. Our American society has a variety of people (and POVs) and should be structured with that in mind, while preserving others' civil rights.

Let's talk about the future of mankind. Besides climate change, geology happens. Earthquakes and volcanoes happen. Asteroids happen. How will we mitigate these (eventual) scenarios? How are Californians and Floridians supposed to live in en masse, when their land is in peril? How are we supposed to be a beacon of opportunity to the world when we can't figure out a workable immigration system? How are we supposed to be a beacon of freedom to the world when we oppress our own people and seek to conquer foreign lands?


Going Forward

America's founding fathers were flawed men who didn't see the irony of fighting tyranny while owning slaves. But they had some moments, such as the following quote. This is what is supposed to make America great.

"We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness."

There's more. There's so much more but as our "issues" expand we will lose people who disagree with our consensus on some matters. From huge topics like foreign policy and national defense to divisive topics like Medicare for All, UBI, 2A, and civil rights, everyone will not agree.

For now can we pick 3-5 topics that enough people agree on, to make political (and policy) change?
  • "Insurance" is a mess.
  • The 1% own everything and make all the rules.
  • Our global reputation wasn't perfect before 2025 but events lately are disturbingly reminiscent of the 1930s.

It can't be done in a day or by one person but we can take steps.

Step 1: Determine if people want this, and if so, start the formal process.
Step 2: Create legal organization and hire legal, marketing, and IT.
Step 3: Gain membership to five million people, out of 350 million Americans.
Step 4: Allow experts and scientists to shape policy, with an eye toward FAIR markets and equality.
Step 5: Elect representatives who will champion our agreed-upon causes.

We are reasonable people seeking reasonable solutions.
